I have faced  many sleepless nights in a car in the bitter cold of Alaska and have bounced back and forth on large 30 feet waves just to take a photograph. Perhaps my experience in the torturous cold winds on the borders of Iran and Iraq , climbing Mt. McKinley almost to death , searching to find Tsavo, the man eater lion and a two months journey climbing the Andes and sharing food with an Amazonian tribe has made me a bit more daring !

I was born in Tehran, Iran.  It was the simple lifestyles and cultures of people in remote areas and the fantastic nature that surrounded them that I found myself most fascinated with.

Choosing photography was my one way to capture the constant changing moments. Photography became my passport to a world of discovery.

I’m always searching. I am an explorer of all elements , including my own layers.

I believe the best artists are the elements.

They are continually working, coloring, transforming and shaping themselves, us and me. As a documentary / fine art photographer and installation artist I like to experiment with many themes in my work. I like a visual luminosity and also a spiritual quality in my images . I also work in mixed media. Reality inspires me and gives me the courage that enables me to touch the sureal and the imagined .

Henry Bresson once said, “The eye sees only what the mind is prepared to comprehend.”

Through these journeys of the physical and the spiritual  what I have discovered in my layers are : Love , Respect , Liberty and empathy for all beings .

I like to work with different subjects, a variation of style and genre . I like to tell Stories. I work on large scale installations that includes a woven theme of images, sound, aroma, movement, poetry..

My images have been exhibited in galleries in MA, NYC, Ca, NM, Paris, Belgium, London and The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. I have worked with major Publications and Museums.
